Continue reducing the tax burden on small businesses, seniors, and hardworking families while keeping state government fiscally responsible. Paul supported efforts that lowered South Carolina's top income tax rate from 6% to 5.21% and increased the Homestead Exemption for eligible seniors from $50,000 to $75,000. 

Fight for Greenville County's fair share of funding for roads, bridges, water, sewer, and other critical infrastructure. Paul supported a state budget that includes an additional $377 million for roads and bridges as South Carolina works to keep pace with continued growth. 

Ensure law enforcement and first responders have the pay, resources, training, and equipment needed to keep our communities safe. The 2026–27 budget provides an additional $8.3 million for pay raises, overtime, and new officers at state law enforcement and criminal justice agencies. 

Ensure the men and women who served our country receive the benefits, healthcare, resources, and respect they have earned.

Support South Carolina's small businesses, cut unnecessary regulations, and create an environment that attracts good-paying jobs and new investment to Greenville and the Upstate.

Support competitive teacher pay, parental involvement, vocational education, school safety, and workforce preparation. Recent investments raised South Carolina's minimum starting teacher salary to $50,500, while the budget also provides $95 million for SC WINS workforce scholarships at the state's technical colleges.

Support state and local law enforcement efforts to enforce our laws and strengthen South Carolina's response to illegal immigration.

Strengthen access to mental health resources for students, families, veterans, and South Carolinians in crisis.

Protect the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners and continue standing against efforts that infringe on the Second Amendment.

Continue defending the unborn while supporting families, adoption, and policies that help parents and children thrive.

Drawing on 23 years as Greenville County Clerk of Court and his service on the House Judiciary Committee, Paul supports reforms that strengthen judicial accountability, improve the court system, and ensure South Carolinians are treated fairly under the law.
